About The Role

We are seeking a full-time permanent Production Supervisor to join our Goonyella team. In this role, you will lead the safe day-to-day execution of production activities, supporting crews to deliver against plan while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, equipment utilisation and team performance.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Lead the day-to-day control and supervision of production activities in accordance with site standards and relevant mining legislation.
• Manage people and equipment to safely execute production plans and achieve operational targets.
• Allocate workloads across the production team, monitor performance and support crews to deliver quality outcomes.
• Provide visible leadership in the field, promoting a safe, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
• Collaborate with the Production Superintendent to ensure the effective delivery of production plans, monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identify hazards, manage risk and ensure compliance with BUMA systems, procedures and client requirements.

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ production experience in an open cut coal mining operation.
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in an open cut coal mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Queensland coal mining legislation and site safety requirements.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Proven ability to motivate teams, communicate clearly and drive performance against business targets.

Goonyella Mine

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA’s Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines and is situated approximately 30 kilometres from Moranbah. BUMA Australia provides labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
