Research Nurse

• Location: Sunshine Hospital
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (until April 2027)
• Salary: Research Nurse Level 2/3 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role

As a member of the health care team, the Research Nurse manages efficiently and effectively the research activities of the unit to ensure a high-quality service that meets the needs of clients and consumers, adheres to legislative responsibilities, and maintains a safe working environment. The Research Nurse ensures clinical research is conducted in an ethical, scientific and legal manner.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing and/or participating in patient recruitment, ethics application processes and clinical trial conduct in accordance to the Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice.
• Conducting study visits and adherence to clinical trial protocols.
• Development and review of standard operating protocols, liaising with external stakeholders.
• Maintaining safety of patients, monitoring adverse events and reporting adverse events.

About you

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• At least five years clinical experience; proven clinical experience in Oncology and/or Haematology.
• At least two years research experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate clinical trials and ability to problem solve.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and assist other team members as required, and at same time be self- directed and motivated.
• Demonstrate effective organisational skills, particularly with respect to time management, delegation and supervision.
