Brand Communications and Social Specialist
Help shape how our members and the broader community experience the brand. This is an exciting opportunity to drive social media, PR and reputation management activity that builds trust, engagement and consideration, while bringing compelling brand stories to life across public-facing channels.
About the role
Reporting to the Brand team, you will play a key role in delivering social media, public relations and reputation management initiatives that support brand awareness, member engagement and business objectives.
You will
- Manage and grow the fund's social media presence across owned and shared channels
- Own and maintain the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with campaigns, member education and business priorities
- Create and coordinate engaging social content, including copy, imagery and short-form video
- Lead community management activities, including moderation, responses and reputation monitoring
- Work closely with PR agency partners to support earned media opportunities and third-party endorsement activity
- Monitor reviews, ratings and social sentiment, providing insights and recommendations to strengthen brand reputation
- Partner with internal stakeholders across marketing, digital, customer experience and product teams to deliver integrated campaigns
- Support go-to-market activity, new product launches and brand initiatives through PR and social media activity
- Contribute to reputation and issue management activities, ensuring content aligns with compliance and regulatory requirements
- Identify new content opportunities, emerging channels and audience engagement approaches to continuously improve performance
What we're looking for
You are a creative and commercially minded communications professional who understands how to build engagement, manage reputation and connect with audiences through compelling storytelling.
You will bring
- Experience in social media, community management, reputation management, public relations or integrated communications
- Demonstrated experience planning, publishing and optimising social media content across consumer channels
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to adapt tone across social, PR and public review environments
- Experience working with PR agencies, media activity and reputation management platforms
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions
- Experience using social media management, scheduling, listening and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Hootsuite or similar
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and generate actionable insights
- Knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and emerging social platforms
- An understanding of content governance, accessibility requirements and regulated communication environments
- Relevant qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline
- Experience within financial services, superannuation or another regulated industry will be highly regarded
