The Role

Join Perri Cutten at an exciting time in our journey as we continue to evolve one of Australia's most respected womenswear brands. As the Head of Creative, you will lead the creative vision and design direction of the brand, shaping seasonal collections and ensuring every creative touchpoint reflects Perri Cutten's distinctive aesthetic, heritage and customer focus.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of the brand while leading a talented creative and product development team.

Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Lead the creative vision and seasonal design direction for Perri Cutten
  • Develop seasonal trends, colour palettes and mood boards to guide range development
  • Conduct local and international trend research, sourcing and inspiration trips
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Product team on fabric, print and yarn direction
  • Present seasonal trends and collection direction to Senior Management
  • Ensure brand consistency across product, marketing, VM and customer touchpoints
  • Lead the creative process from concept through to final execution
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Product Development team
  • Manage the critical path to ensure key milestones and delivery timelines are achieved
  • Achieve agreed development, margin and intake targets across apparel and accessories
  • Partner with Marketing, VM, Retail, Planning and Production teams to deliver commercially successful ranges
  • Brief Marketing and VM teams on seasonal trends, key looks and product stories
  • Conduct competitor analysis and store visits to identify opportunities and market trends
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and key external partners

You will have

  • 7-10 years' experience in luxury womenswear, creative leadership and product development
  • Proven experience leading and developing creative or product teams
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle
  • Experience managing supplier sourcing, development and relationships
  • Extensive knowledge of womenswear design, fabrication and market trends
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and margins
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Apparel 21, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for team development
