Are you passionate about business improvement, project coordination and driving continuous improvement outcomes?
This exciting opportunity within our Facilities Services team will see you contribute to the enhancement of business processes, support project delivery and strengthen asset management practices that help deliver quality services to our community.
You'll support the ongoing management and improvement of Council's facilities asset portfolio, helping to maintain asset data, coordinate maintenance planning activities and contribute to better long-term asset outcomes, while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and practices. Your responsibilities will include
- Coordinating business improvement initiatives and supporting the delivery of minor projects and project-based activities across the Facilities Services Unit.
- Maintaining project information, tracking actions and providing project status updates through Council's corporate systems.
- Researching, analysing and identifying opportunities to improve business processes, systems and service delivery outcomes.
- Supporting asset management activities, including asset data maintenance, condition assessment coordination and maintenance planning initiatives.
- Preparing reports, presentations, correspondence and other documentation to support decision-making, governance and project delivery.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Council to implement continuous improvement initiatives and enhance operational performance within the Facilities Services Unit.
Skills and experience
- Experience coordinating business improvement initiatives, projects and project-based activities within a facilities, asset management or operational environment.
- Knowledge of facilities, business, project and/or contract management processes, with an understanding of governance, reporting and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience preparing and maintaining project documentation, status reports, presentations, correspondence and other business records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and experience using project management, financial, asset management or CMMS systems.
- Experience supporting asset management activities, including asset data management, maintenance planning and condition assessment programs, will be highly regarded.
