We’re on the lookout for a proactive and skilled Water & Sewerage Network Operations Worker (Licenced Fitter) to join our team. If you’re all about rolling up your sleeves, solving problems, and ensuring top-notch service delivery, this is the role for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out and providing quality service delivery and ensuring the complete reliability and safe operations of Council’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants including general maintenance, fabrications and repairs
  • Maintenance, repairs and installation on water and sewerage mechanical infrastructure in accordance with the Asset Management outputs
  • Maintenance, repairs and installation on water and sewerage mechanical infrastructure in response to equipment failures

Operational Accountabilities

  • Ensure that all work carried out is undertaken professionally, to a high standard and in a safe efficient manner
  • Complete basic office duties such as ordering of spare parts, quotations and maintain accurate records
  • Deal effectively and effectively with internal and external stakeholder, including customer service requests, complaints and general enquiries and transactions
  • Relieve at other locations throughout the region as required
  • Undertake other relevant duties as required

Essential

  • Class MR drivers licence (or willing to obtain)
  • White Construction card
  • Trade Qualified Fitter
  • High Risk Forklift licence (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First aid and CPR certificate
  • Low voltage certificate (or willing to obtain
  • Working at Heights certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Working in Confined space certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Demonstrated experience in fabrications, repairs, maintenance of pumps and servicing of pipes and mains
