Medical Receptionist - Casual

We are seeking a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Port Macquarie - Lord Street clinic on a casual basis.

This is a casual position with the potential to lead to a permanent part-time opportunity for the right candidate. Please note that a permanent part-time position is not guaranteed and will be subject to business needs and performance.

The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday to Friday, across shifts between 6:00am and 6:00pm.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include

• Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
• Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling enquiries professionally.
• Advising patients of preparation requirements prior to relevant scans.
• Processing billing procedures, including private, Medicare, Workers Compensation and DVA.
• Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists and referrers.

What we're looking for

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
• Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
• Previous experience in medical reception.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
• A friendly, professional and patient-focused approach.
