  • You will help people in custody prepare for their return to the community.
  • You will assess risks, support parole applications and coordinate transition services.
  • You will work with prisoners, prison staff and service providers each day.
  • You will help people build safer and more positive pathways after prison.
  • Fixed-Term (until 24/08/2027), Full-Time role earning $81,496 - $98,955 per year, plus super.

What you will do

As assessment and transition coordinator, you will help people prepare for life after prison.

You will assess risks, support parole applications and coordinate transition services.

You Will

  • coordinate risk and needs assessments, parole applications and pre-release services.
  • support case management reviews and help track each person's progress.
  • coordinate programs, referrals and services that support people before and after release.
  • work with prisoners, prison staff and service providers to support transition plans.
  • maintain clear records, data and schedules to support programs and parole applications.

About The Candidate

You should have experience in, or an understanding of, working in a correctional environment.

You should understand the needs of people moving through prison and back into the community.

You Should Also Have

  • understanding of transition and reintegration issues affecting people in custody.
  • skills to use risk assessment tools with individual prisoners.
  • ability to work with people who may be hard to work with.
  • computer skills using programs such as Excel to manage data.
