About the role
As Senior Specialist, Risk Data & Analytics, you will provide specialist operational support for CBUS' Governance, Risk and Compliance system, Archer SaaS, within Group Risk. The role is focused on system administration, authorised configuration, user support, testing, training and data-quality monitoring.
Working under the platform roadmap, priorities and release governance managed by the Manager, Risk Data & Analytics, you will help deliver reliable day-to-day services and governed platform improvements. You will partner with business users to build capability, resolve system issues and improve the quality and completeness of information held in Archer.
The role supports effective risk management without taking ownership of business risk content. Business areas remain responsible for maintaining and approving their risk, control, incident and action information. The Risk Data & Analytics team provides the platform, controls, guidance, monitoring and escalation pathways that enable that ownership.
Key accountabilities
- Provide responsive Archer user support, triage queries, resolve or escalate incidents through defined service pathways, and maintain support knowledge for service continuity.
- Administer approved user access, permissions and licences, and perform authorised Archer configuration and controlled platform enhancements in line with documented approvals, requirements, solution designs and release plans.
- Prepare and execute system testing, support business verification, document results, retain release evidence, and undertake post-release verification.
- Develop and maintain user guidance, training materials and operational procedures, and support release communications and user readiness to enable safe business self-service.
- Monitor risk-data quality and completeness, report exceptions, route remediation to accountable business owners, and provide platform-health, support-demand, access and data-quality information for service and governance reporting.
- Identify and recommend practical improvements to system administration, workflows, controls, user experience and data quality, while working with the separate risk reporting and analytics capability to support reliable data inputs.
What will you bring?
- Experience in a GRC Systems Specialist, Archer Administrator, Risk Systems Analyst or similar role supporting, administering and enhancing a GRC platform.
- Hands-on experience in authorised configuration, access administration, testing, user support and controlled release delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data-quality issues and translate findings into clear remediation actions.
- A customer-focused mindset, with clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and guide stakeholders at all levels using accessible business language.
- Experience developing user guidance and training materials that build confidence and capability in business users.
- Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities, challenge constructively and deliver practical operational enhancements, supported by a solid understanding of risk-management frameworks, governance practices and risk systems within complex organisations.
