Position Details

St Lawrence Primary School is a single-stream, co-educational Catholic primary school in Perth’s northern suburbs, serving 257 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Established in 1960 by the Sisters of Mercy, the school proudly upholds the Mercy charisms and traditions that continue to shape our community today.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our supportive team. The successful applicant will be passionate about early childhood education, committed to nurturing the whole child and supportive of the Mercy ethos and Catholic education.

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and innovative educators with the following attributes:

• Supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
• Have a deep understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), WA Curriculum and Child Safe Framework
• Show initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience or knowledge of the InitiaLit program would be advantageous
• Display excellent classroom management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt learning experiences to cater for individual needs
• Experience in developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans
• Experience working with students with additional learning needs
• An agile team member, with a sense of humour and excellent organisational skills.

Qualifications Required

Minimum 4-year tertiary ECE teaching qualification

• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education in a Catholic School (or working towards)
• Current TRBWA Registration
• Current Working With Children Check
