About The Role
The Manager Policy and Advocacy plays a key role in shaping and delivering Transgrid's regulatory strategy. You will lead complex policy and advocacy programs, provide expert advice on regulatory and market developments, and represent Transgrid across industry consultations and stakeholder forums. You will work closely with the Head of Energy Policy and broader team, acting as key voice on regulatory risk, policy positioning, and government advocacy.
A Day in the Life
- Lead Transgrid’s positions on energy, market and regulatory matters.
- Prepare high-quality submissions, reports and advocacy materials, and internal briefing notes.
- Provide expert advice to support strategic decision-making.
- Build relationships with regulators, government and industry stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver policy outcomes.
You Will Bring
- Significant experience in regulatory affairs, public policy, government relations, or strategy, ideally across National and NSW energy frameworks.
- Experience leading complex policy, regulatory or strategic programs.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and credibility to engage with regulators, government and industry stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and influencing capability.
- Strong Analytical and ability to translate complex issues into practical business outcomes.
- Relevant degree in economics, law, commerce, engineering, public policy, finance or similar.
