As a Senior Water Engineer, you will lead and coordinate civil design inputs for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, drainage systems and related network assets. Depending on your specific expertise, your responsibilities will include various aspects of:

  • Civil design leadership: Lead and review design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical deliverables for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Water infrastructure delivery: Lead design development across pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, drainage systems and network assets through multiple project stages.
  • Technical assurance: Undertake design reviews, quality checks and verification activities while applying safety in design, constructability and risk management principles.
  • Project and design coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, manage technical interfaces and support delivery against agreed scope, programme and budget.
  • Client and team contribution: Communicate technical solutions clearly, contribute to proposals and client discussions, and mentor junior engineers to strengthen team capability.

About You

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, drainage systems or network assets.
  • Strong civil design capability, including calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, design reviews and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Ability to apply sound technical judgement, manage design risks and resolve civil, geotechnical and constructability interfaces.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian standards, client requirements, design maturity, safety in design and quality assurance processes.
