We're partnering with an established and growing professional services firm to find an experienced
Senior Accountant to join its Business Advisory team.
This is a great opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to go beyond traditional compliance. You'll manage your own portfolio, provide proactive accounting and business advice, identify value-add opportunities and play an active role in supporting and developing junior team members.
About The Role
You'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of business clients, providing a combination of accounting, tax and broader business advisory services.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Manage an allocated portfolio of clients with minimal senior oversight.
- Build long-term client relationships and provide proactive accounting and business advice.
- Prepare and oversee tax returns, compliance, accounting and financial reporting across individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and super funds.
- Identify value-add opportunities such as budgeting, variance analysis, business planning and advisory services.
- Identify opportunities to introduce clients to Wealth Advisory and Lending Advisory.
- Manage WIP, timesheets, workflow and productivity targets.
- Review work and maintain high-quality compliance and process standards.
- Mentor, train and delegate work to Accountants, Graduates and Bookkeepers.
- Support system training and process improvement across the Business Advisory team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and stay current with accounting and tax developments.
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically capable, commercially minded and genuinely enjoys working with clients.
You'll Ideally Bring
- Strong experience in business services/accounting
- Solid knowledge across accounting, tax and compliance
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients independently
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach to identifying client needs and opportunities
- The ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and WIP
- An interest in broader business advisory and commercial conversations
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards qualification

- $90k-$130k (inclusive of superannuation) salary based on experience.
