As an onsite HSE Advisor, you'll play a key frontline role on the Goyder BESS, a major renewable energy project helping shape South Australia's energy future.

Working alongside experienced project and HSE leaders, you'll support the safe delivery of civil, electrical and high-voltage construction works while building your career within UGL's growing portfolio of renewable energy projects.

About the role

As an HSE Advisor, you'll spend most of your time in the field, supporting supervisors and frontline crews to maintain a safe and productive workplace.

Working closely with the HSE Manager and wider project team, you'll help drive a positive safety culture, support compliance requirements and provide practical guidance across all stages of construction.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being visible on site, building strong working relationships and influencing positive safety outcomes through engagement with workers.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on, day-to-day HSE support across site activities.
  • Support pre-starts, toolbox talks and onsite safety conversations.
  • Conduct regular site walks, inspections and safety interactions.
  • Assist with incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Manage HSE documentation, reporting and compliance with UGL's HSE Management System.

About you

  • Experience as an HSE Advisor on renewable energy, power, infrastructure or major construction projects.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
  • Comfortable working a 10/4 roster.
  • Strong site presence and ability to build credibility with frontline teams.
  • Practical approach to safety, including experience with incident reporting and investigations.
