Safety Advisor

I am currently seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join one of Brisbane’s most renowned developer-builders, with a strong reputation and a substantial pipeline of landmark projects.

The business is currently delivering a luxury 25+ storey high-rise apartment development in one of Brisbane’s most established and prestigious suburbs.

The Role

You will be based on a luxury 25+ storey high-rise apartment development, with approximately two years of construction remaining and further projects in the pipeline beyond this development.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors and senior management to drive positive safety outcomes.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety training.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures.
• Review SWMS and ensure high-risk activities are appropriately managed.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company standards and project requirements.
• Build strong relationships across the site team and promote a proactive safety culture.

About You

• Proven experience as a Safety Advisor within the Australian construction industry.
• Previous experience across high-rise, residential or commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and contractor engagement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to the wider project team.
