Position Summary

The Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing complex

electrical construction projects at Performance Electrical from pre-construction through

closeout. This role provides strategic direction, manages project teams, and ensures projects

are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all company, client,

and regulatory requirements.

The Senior Electrical Project Manager serves as a key leader within the organization,

coordinating closely with clients, general contractors, field leadership, vendors, and internal

departments. This position requires strong technical electrical knowledge, proven project

management expertise, and the ability to mentor project managers and support continuous

improvement across project operations.

Key Responsibilities. Included But Not Limited To

  • Lead and oversee multiple complex electrical construction projects from pre- construction through closeout
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project support staff
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and estimates to ensure accurate scope understanding and execution
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, manpower plans, and cash flow forecasts
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements
  • Collaborate with field leadership, including Superintendents and Foremen, to support efficient jobsite operations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation to protect company interests
  • Monitor job cost reports and financial performance; proactively address variances and risks
  • Support pre-construction efforts, including estimating reviews, value engineering, and constructability input
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and internal planning sessions
  • Resolve project issues, conflicts, and disputes in a professional and timely manner
  • Mentor and train project management staff to support development and succession planning
  • Coordinate with accounting, procurement, and HR to support staffing, billing, and vendor management
  • Support company initiatives focused on process improvement, quality control, and operational efficiency
  • Represent Performance Electrical professionally in all client and industry interactions

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical construction project management
  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial and/or industrial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, manpower planning, and job cost controls
  • Solid understanding of contract administration, including scopes of work, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout processes
  • Experience coordinating with Superintendents, Foremen, and field leadership to support efficient jobsite execution
  • Ability to analyze financial and job cost reports and take proactive corrective action
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (OSHA standards)
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical construction project management
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with high contract values
  • Electrical trade background (Journeyman or Master Electrician license)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience mentoring and developing Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
  • Strong background in change management, claims avoidance, and dispute resolution
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or mission-critical projects
  • Familiarity with union and/or non-union environments
  • Proven track record of delivering projects with strong profitability and client satisfaction
  • Experience contributing to process improvement or operational excellence initiatives
