• Focus: building secure, scalable AWS cloud platforms and AI-enabled solutions in client-facing environments
• Core tools and platforms to preserve: AWS Control Tower, Landing Zone Accelerator, Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD, EKS, ECS, Amazon Bedrock, RAG architecture, Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot
• Help design and deliver cloud platforms and AI-enabled solutions that bring AWS architecture, Bedrock and modern engineering practices together.
• Build relationships with in-person connection across our teams and clients, with flexibility to balance work and life

This is a Sydney-based hybrid opportunity for a Consultant to join Deloitte Engineering and help clients turn complex cloud and AI ambitions into secure, production-ready platforms.

What will your typical day look like?

You'll work across the design and delivery of AWS-based solutions, helping clients build secure, scalable platforms that support modern application development and emerging AI use cases. That could mean shaping landing zones with AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone Accelerator, building infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation, or contributing to CI/CD and container environments using EKS or ECS.

A big part of the role is translating architecture into something that works in practice. You'll help embed the AWS Well-Architected Framework into delivery, support the integration of Amazon Bedrock into real-world systems, and apply sound judgement when using tools like Amazon Q or GitHub Copilot so outputs are secure, accurate and ready for production.

No two projects will look exactly the same. You'll collaborate with engineers, architects and client stakeholders to solve technical problems, improve engineering standards and contribute to delivery in a way that balances quality, pace and long-term maintainability.

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• Experience delivering cloud or AI-enabled solutions in client-facing environments
• Strong AWS architecture capability, including secure and scalable platform design aligned to the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Hands-on experience with AWS Control Tower, Landing Zone Accelerator, Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and container platforms such as EKS or ECS
• Exposure to Amazon Bedrock, including agents, knowledge bases, guardrails, RAG architecture and LLM integration in production systems
• Sound judgement when using AI-assisted SDLC tooling such as Amazon Q or GitHub Copilot
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach to delivery
• AWS certifications across architecture, DevOps, security or AI disciplines would be highly regarded
