About Our Client

Our client is a specialist EPC contractor delivering high-voltage infrastructure, grid connection and utility-scale energy projects across Australia. They are involved in major transmission, substation and battery energy storage developments supporting the energy transition.

Job Description

  • Experience estimating transmission or utility electrical infrastructure projects
  • Proven exposure to HV substations from 132kV to 500kV preferred
  • Strong knowledge of transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear and HV systems
  • Understanding of protection, control, SCADA and communications systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical and civil design documentation
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract understanding
  • Electrical Engineering qualification, trade background or equivalent experience.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Electrical Estimator should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in estimating within the construction industry, particularly in the energy and natural resources sector.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills for preparing accurate cost estimates.
  • Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
  • Knowledge of Australian construction standards and electrical regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
