Bookkeeper - Building Company
Development Careers
Remote
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper who loves keeping everything organised, accurate and under control?
This is a great opportunity to work directly with the CFO of a growing residential building business based in Eagle Farm.
The CFO is currently managing the day-to-day bookkeeping alongside the broader financial management of the business—and there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. We need someone capable who can come in, take ownership of the transactional work and allow the CFO to concentrate on reporting, cash flow, job profitability and the bigger picture.
What will you be doing?
You will take care of accounts payable, process supplier and subcontractor invoices, match invoices to purchase orders and job costs, prepare payment runs and resolve supplier queries.
You will also maintain supplier and subcontractor records, chase missing invoices and statements, assist with reconciliations and month-end tasks, and keep the ledgers and systems tidy.
There will also be some support for the estimating team, including data entry and updating supplier and subcontractor pricing, as well as ad hoc support for the CFO with BAS workpapers, reporting and system tidy-ups.
This role will suit someone who is accurate, organised and happy working independently once they understand the systems and processes. You will need at least three years of hands-on bookkeeping experience within an Australian business, strong accounts payable and reconciliation skills, and good Excel knowledge.
Experience within residential construction, building or a trades-based business would be highly regarded—particularly if you understand job costing, purchase orders and subcontractor payments.
The business uses Databuild, Onsite Companion, EzyScan and Therefore. Experience with these systems would be an advantage, but it is not essential if you are confident with accounting software and learn new systems quickly.
The role is based in the Eagle Farm office and offers a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the option to work a full week. The hours are flexible—we would rather find the right person and build the schedule around them.
You can join the business as an employee or work as an independent contractor with your own ABN.

As with all our roles, you must have full Australian working rights. No student or temporary visas, thank you.
