What you’ll do -
As a Contract Support Officer within the Corporate Category Team, you’ll provide practical, customer-focused administration support across the category lifecycle, helping ensure our strategies, processes and supplier relationships deliver value, remain consistent and compliant, and are easy for the business to navigate.
- Promote awareness and consistent application of procurement policies, procedures and frameworks.
- Support procurement and contract administration activities in line with TasNetworks policies and legislative requirements.
- Maintain accurate contract registers, records, documentation and electronic filing systems.
- Monitor contract milestones, deliverables, expiry dates, renewals, insurance, licences and other compliance requirements.
- Assist with preparing, reviewing, processing and executing contracts, variations and extensions.
- Coordinate contract correspondence and build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors and service providers.
- Support procurement activities including quotations, tender documentation, evaluations, purchase orders and contract establishment.
- Manage and monitor funding allocations across panel contracts, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
- Monitor supplier performance, deliverables, reporting requirements and key contractual obligations when required.
- Assist with invoice verification and processing to ensure payments align with agreed terms and deliverables.
- Prepare contract reports, status updates, dashboards and briefing materials.
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, discrepancies and non-compliance matters.
About You
You’ll be joining a collaborative Supply Chain team supporting the business to manage contracts, suppliers and procurement activities that keep our organisation moving. Whether you’re experienced in contract administration, procurement or a similar commercial environment, this is an opportunity to build your skills, contribute ideas and make a genuine impact.
You’ll Bring
- Experience in procurement, contract administration or a similar commercial or administrative role.
- An understanding of procurement processes, ideally in a structured or regulated environment.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for detail.
- The ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Sound judgement and a strong commitment to confidentiality, probity and integrity.
- Confidence using systems and tools—or the ability to quickly learn new ones, such as SAP, Ariba or JIRA Service Management.
- A flexible, responsive approach and the ability to adapt when priorities change.
- A willingness to contribute, collaborate and demonstrate the TasNetworks core behaviours.
