Sales Coordinator
Sense Recruitment
If you know the electrical supply industry, are confident putting together customer quotes and enjoy keeping customers and orders moving, this could be a great next step.
We are partnering with an established Australian manufacturer and supplier within the electrical cable industry to find a Sales Coordinator to join their Jandakot team.
This is a customer-focused sales role, but it is not a new business development position. There is a dedicated team responsible for sourcing and winning new business, so you won’t be expected to cold call, prospect or build a pipeline from scratch.
Instead, your focus will be on supporting existing customers and incoming opportunities. You’ll respond to enquiries, understand what the customer needs, prepare accurate and competitive quotes, process orders and coordinate everything through to delivery.
You’ll work closely with customers and the broader sales team, becoming an important point of contact throughout the sales and order process.
A key part of the role will be preparing quotes. You’ll need to be comfortable interpreting customer requirements, identifying the right products, checking pricing and availability and putting together accurate quotes that can be turned around quickly.
Once a quote progresses, you’ll help take it through the next stages, processing orders, coordinating with the warehouse and internal teams, keeping customers updated and making sure commitments are followed through.
You’ll have the commercial interaction of a sales role without the pressure of having to generate new business yourself.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing accurate and timely customer quotes based on product requirements, pricing and availability
- Responding to customer enquiries and supporting existing customers and incoming sales opportunities
- Processing sales orders, tracking orders and coordinating deliveries
- Working alongside the external and business development sales team to support opportunities they bring into the business
- Maintaining accurate customer, sales, pricing and order information and working across internal teams to deliver a great customer experience
What we're looking for
Industry experience is important for this role. Ideally, you’ll have worked within electrical wholesale, electrical products, cable, manufacturing or a closely related distribution environment.
You may currently be working in internal sales, sales support, customer service, branch support or sales administration and be looking for an opportunity where you can take greater ownership of the quoting and customer process.
You’ll need to be confident preparing quotes and working with pricing, product information and customer requirements. Accuracy matters, but so does responsiveness. Customers need someone who can understand what they are asking for and get information back to them quickly.
You’ll also be organised, comfortable managing multiple quotes and orders at once and confident communicating with customers over the phone and via email.
Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with CRM, ERP or order management systems will be highly regarded.
If you enjoy sales but don’t want a role built around cold calling and chasing new customers, this offers a great alternative. You’ll have a dedicated sales team generating new business, while you focus on quoting, customer service, sales coordination and helping turn opportunities into successfully delivered orders.
You’ll join an established Australian family owned national business operating within an industry supporting mining, resources, utilities, infrastructure and electrical projects, with the opportunity to continue building your product and commercial knowledge.
Along with a competitive salary, the business offers ongoing training and development, a collaborative team environment and access to a profit share and bonus arrangement following successful completion of probation.
