We're looking for someone who wants to build a career with a firm over the longer term - not simply move from job to job.
What you'll be working on
Your role will include a broad mix of business services and tax work, including:
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns
- Companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- BAS and IAS preparation
- Division 7A
- Capital gains tax
- FBT
- Tax planning
- Working with business groups and family structures
- Liaising with managers and clients
- Supporting and reviewing more junior team members as your experience develops
- Increasing involvement in advisory and strategic work over time
Our clients are predominantly privately owned businesses and individuals, so you'll get exposure to a broad range of industries, structures and commercial issues.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- 3-6 years' experience in Australian public practice
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
- A relevant accounting or commerce degree
- CA or CPA studies commenced or completed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- A willingness to take ownership of your work
- A genuine interest in continuing to develop technically and professionally
- Permanent Australian working rights
