The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a proactive individual to provide strategic leadership and governance of Council's information management, privacy and data governance functions and oversees the delivery of operational records and information management services through the Information Officer and Information Systems Officer positions.

As a Coordinator | Information Management, you will lead Council’s information management and records governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and best-practice standards. You will lead data governance and business intelligence initiatives, build organisational capability, and work with business areas to improve data quality, reporting, information systems and decision-making across Council.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Diploma level qualification in Records Management or equivalent field and has a minimum 5 years recent and relevant experience in information management or related filed.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise information management functions, including records governance, privacy, information compliance, data governance, business intelligence and reporting.
  • Experience establishing data governance, reporting and data quality practices, including data ownership, stewardship, metadata, authoritative sources, business intelligence, KPI definitions and trusted reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to influence compliance, build organisational capability, deliver training and communicate complex information clearly.

Benefits

This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $122,158.40 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $2,097.50 per week base salary
  • $251.70 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
