The Role

We are seeking experienced Dump Truck and Water Cart Operators to join the Isa Surface Operations team. This team provides bulk materials handling and road maintenance services across the Mount Isa Mines lease.

Reporting to the ISF Shift Supervisors, you will work a rotating roster of 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off, comprising of 12-hour shifts (42-hour average week). These are residential positions based in Mount Isa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

  • Safely and efficiently operating dump trucks and water carts across site.
  • Conducting thorough pre-start inspections and monitoring and reporting equipment condition.
  • Maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance in all work activities.
  • Communicating clearly and positively with supervisors, workmates and other site personnel.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments, contractors and teams to achieve operational targets safely.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

You will have the following skillset and attributes:

  • Current and valid Australian manual driver’s licence.
  • Demonstrated dump truck and water cart operating experience – essential.
  • Loader operating experience – highly regarded.
  • Strong safety focus, work ethic and commitment to site standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol (D&A) screening.
