About the Role

We are currently seeking a Full Time Retail Security Guard to join our team at a major retail centre in Upper Mount Gravatt. This role is ideal for a security professional with strong retail security experience who is specifically seeking a permanent position maintaining consistent hours.

Strong Control Room experience is highly desirable, as the progression path for this role will involve future monitoring CCTV, incident coordination, and supporting site operations from the control room when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and adaptable officer who thrives in a dynamic retail environments and takes ownership of safety, risk management, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a strong and professional security presence in a busy retail environment
  • Provide high-level customer service to retailers, staff, and members of the public
  • Conduct foot patrols, access control, and site monitoring
  • Operate and monitor Control Room systems including CCTV and alarm systems
  • Respond effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations
  • Identify, assess, and manage risk appropriately
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs
  • Liaise with centre management, tenants, and emergency services when required

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in retail security environments
  • Strong Control Room experience (highly regarded)
  • Current QLD Security Licence with Crowd Control & Monitoring components
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presentation and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work rotating rosters, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a relief capacity
