That’s why we’re hiring a Head of Industrial Relations to lead our compliance team and help customers easily meet their workplace obligations. The role focuses on improving our existing compliance offering and working with the product team to solve more workplace compliance challenges for our customers.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure our customers can easily meet their workplace compliance obligations: Oversee the configuration of our modern award templates, enterprise agreements, other pay compliance features, templated documents, templated training, and more.
  • Keep our compliance offerings up to date: Proactively monitor changes to Australian workplace laws, and where necessary, ensure our offerings and documentation are updated in a timely manner.
  • Help develop new compliance offerings for our customers: Identify opportunities to help customers more, and work with product to develop and implement new functionality.
  • Represent Tanda in the legal and industrial relations community: Attend events, host webinars, and more generally work with marketing to get Tanda’s name out as the number one in compliance.
  • Work directly with customers and prospects: Answer interpretation questions, guide implementation, and help customers apply Tanda’s tools correctly. Act as a trusted advisor on how to operationalise compliance inside the platform.
  • Keep the team efficient: Stay within budget, complete projects in time, and use technology to get more done.
  • Drive urgency: Foster a high-velocity culture with clear cadences, accountability, and rapid decision-making.
  • Maximise team tenure: Keep the team highly engaged by inspiring them, providing development opportunities, and having a good time.
  • Work with partners to get results: Work closely with implementation partners, external lawyers, industry associations, and others to strengthen Tanda’s compliance offering and reach.

Who You Are

  • Extensive experience in workplace relations, human resources or workplace law, with a genuine desire to combine that expertise with technology to solve real problems for employers.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts.
  • Strong project management experience, including managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders, backed by solid analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
  • Experience leading teams, including allocating workloads, supporting development, and keeping people engaged.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and build strong relationships with clients and industry bodies.
  • Comfortable and energised working in a high-performing, collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in law, industrial relations, employee relations or human resources
  • At least 4 to 5 years experience post-graduation
