Payroll Officer

We are currently seeking an experienced

Payroll Officer to join an established and highly regarded organisation within the construction and property sector.

This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional with 3-5 years' experience who is confident working autonomously and takes pride in accuracy, compliance and delivering a reliable payroll function.

The Role

You will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function across multiple payrolls, including a larger employee base of 200+ staff. You will be responsible for fortnightly payroll processing, statutory compliance, reconciliations and commission payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple payrolls, including a payroll of 200+ employees
• Process fortnightly payrolls accurately and on time
• Manage payroll tax, superannuation, WorkCover and other statutory requirements
• Complete monthly payroll reconciliations to the General Ledger
• Manage internal and external commission payments
• Ensure payroll and commission information is accurate and up to date
• Respond to payroll queries and provide support to employees and internal stakeholders
• Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and payroll requirements
• Work autonomously while ensuring a high level of accuracy across the payroll function

About You

• 3-5 years' experience in a payroll position
• Strong end-to-end payroll experience
• Confident managing payroll autonomously
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and statutory requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confident using payroll systems and Excel
• Experience within construction, property or a similar industry will be highly regarded
• Experience with Jobpac and Salesforce is advantageous
