Toll Helicopters is an experienced provider of specialised mission-critical helicopter services and training for Government, Defence and the civil sector. Toll operates the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter Service on behalf of NSW Health for the NSW and ACT communities.
Based in Orange, the Senior Base Engineer position is responsible for Maintenance and Engineering of Toll Helicopters, ensuring safety and reliability while meeting the requirements of Toll Helicopters Operator, Maintenance Organisation, CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) and customers.
As a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Execution of maintenance tasks and reviewing risks prior to commencing work
- Conducting scheduled maintenance activities on allocated aircraft safely and compliantly
- Coordinating, supervising, and conducting troubleshooting and rectification for unscheduled maintenance
- A focus on safe execution while maximising aircraft availability
Ideal Candidate
- Completed Mechanical trade, current CASR Part 66 AW139 B1.3 Type rating
- Completed MEA40715 - Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) or equivalent
- Extensive experience with AW139 or other medium helicopters
- High level of mechanical aptitude
Highly Desirable
- CASR Part 66 AW139 B2 Type rating (additional category)
- Extensive industry experience
- Experience maintaining medium helicopters
- General aircraft maintenance practices
- In-depth knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations
