Payroll Officer (4 Days a Week)

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Coordinate employee lifecycle transactions, including new starters, employment changes, and terminations.
- Prepare and review annual leave, long service leave, and termination payment calculations.
- Process timesheets, leave requests, payroll variations, and employee reimbursements.
- Complete payroll reconciliations, investigate variances, and prepare payroll reports.
- Support month-end payroll activities, including superannuation reconciliations, payroll tax obligations, and reporting requirements.
- Administer payroll deductions such as child support, salary sacrifice arrangements, and other statutory deductions.
- Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related enquiries from employees and managers.
- Assist with year-end payroll compliance activities, reporting, and legislative requirements.
The successful Payroll Officer will have:
- Previous end-to-end payroll experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and National Employment Standards.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- The ability to commit to a fixed term contract

- An hourly rate of $43-47ph
- Immediate start available
- Fixed term contract until March 2027 with possible extension
