About The Role

Securecorp is seeking professional, motivated and customer-focused Security Officers to join our retail security team in Lake Haven with Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual opportunities available.

We are also seeking experienced Control Room Operators to join our team on a Full-Time basis. Applicants for the Control Room Operator position must have a minimum of 3 years’ control room experience and be available to work full-time.

As a Retail Security Officer, you will play an important role in creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for customers, retailers and centre staff. You will combine a highly visible security presence with outstanding customer service, helping to protect people, property and assets while contributing to a positive retail experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-visibility internal and external patrols throughout the retail centre
  • Monitor CCTV and respond promptly to incidents, alarms and emergencies
  • Maintain a professional security presence while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Monitor access points and enforce site policies, procedures and security requirements
  • Assist customers and retailers with enquiries, directions and general assistance
  • Liaise professionally with Centre Management, retailers, emergency services and contractors
  • Identify and report hazards, suspicious behaviour and security risks
  • Complete accurate and timely incident reports and daily activity logs
  • Assist with emergency evacuations, incidents and other emergency situations
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, presentation and conduct at all times

About You

We are looking for people who are reliable, professional and take pride in providing both security and customer service excellence.

You Will Have

  • A current NSW Security Licence
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Previous retail security experience highly regarded, but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
  • A professional presentation and customer-focused approach
  • The ability to remain calm, alert and professional under pressure
  • Strong observation skills and the ability to respond appropriately to incidents
  • A reliable and punctual approach to work
  • Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Control Room Operators

For Control Room Operator Positions, You Will Additionally Require

  • A minimum of 3 years' previous control room experience
  • Strong CCTV monitoring and incident response experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
  • The ability to manage multiple incidents and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Full-Time availability
