About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced
Project Manager to join our South West Technology and Improvement team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting into the T&I Projects Lead, this role is responsible for executing Capital Projects that improve business outcomes including the performance, reliability and integrity of plant assets.
This role involves managing the end to end process for Capital Projects. It will include managing designs, budgets, schedules, preparation of technical documents and work scopes, evaluating tenders from vendors and contactors, coordinating statutory approvals where required, and assisting with Project Supervision as appropriate. The role is responsible for the successful delivery of Projects and will be required to ensure key Stakeholder needs are understood and met as part of Project initiation through to delivery and commissioning.
This position is predominantly based at our Northshore Mineral Separation Plant in Bunbury, with occasional travel to our Wonnerup Mine site in Busselton, working a 9-day fortnight and being home every night.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Broad mechanical aptitude with experience in Project Management and Supervision within a mining, processing, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- General understanding of requirements for mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation design would be considered favourably
- A qualification in Engineering or a related technical field is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects and demonstrated experience in Supervising Contractors during fabrication and on-site works.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerised maintenance management systems.
