This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant seeking ongoing employment within a well-established business. The successful candidate will support daily production and workshop operations while working across a variety of duties including machinery operation, product handling, quality checking and sandblasting.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring products and equipment are safely handled and production requirements are completed to a high standard.

Your Duties Will Include

Following directions and reading instructions from plans and work orders, ensuring strong attention to detail

Operating machinery, tools and equipment including grinders, saws, drills, presses and cranes

Identifying routine problems or faults with machinery, processes and equipment and reporting as required

Using basic numeracy skills to complete tasks accurately

Performing manual handling tasks

Preparing Bradken product samples as required

Inspecting and quality checking Bradken products

Loading and unloading Bradken products as required

Moving products and equipment by hand or mechanical means

Sandblasting products as required

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

Following all workplace health and safety procedures

What You Will Need

Previous Trade Assistant, workshop, manufacturing or industrial experience

Experience using hand and power tools

Ability to safely operate machinery and equipment

Experience with cranes or mechanical lifting equipment is advantageous

Sandblasting experience is advantageous

Ability to read and follow plans, work orders and instructions

Basic numeracy skills

Ability to complete manual handling and physically demanding tasks

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Ability to work the required shift
