Safety Administration Coordinator

We’re looking for a Safety Coordinator to join a large manufacturing operation in Central Mangrove.

This is a newly created role due to growth, and it’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn, get hands-on and work towards a future Safety Manager position.

You’ll work closely with the Safety Manager, Paige, supporting the day-to-day WHS function across a busy production environment.

And while there’s plenty of administration involved, this isn’t a desk-bound safety role.

This gig will be out on the factory floor, talking to people, running safety conversations, completing inspections, following up actions and helping identify and manage risks.

You’ll also support incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, training, inductions and the ongoing improvement of the site’s safety systems.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident.

You must be comfortable having the occasional difficult conversation when something isn’t safe, but equally, you’ll need to be someone employees feel comfortable approaching.

Don’t have years of safety experience? No stress, you don’t need it!

Perhaps you’re coming from a manufacturing, warehouse or operational environment and are ready to make the move into safety.

Your attitude and willingness to learn are more important than having the perfect background.

A Cert IV in WHS would be great, but it’s not essential.

The business will support the right person through a one-week safety course and provide plenty of on-the-job training.
