Parts Interpreter

We are partnering with a well-known and established business based in Smithfield that is recognised for its expertise in transmissions, driveline components, and aftermarket automotive solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Parts Interpreter to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong automotive parts knowledge who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and identify parts requirements for customers and workshop teams.
• Process customer enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
• Prepare quotations and process sales orders accurately.
• Source and order parts from suppliers as required.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with stock control activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations where appropriate.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date records within the system.

About You

• Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter within automotive, truck, heavy vehicle, or transmission industries.
• Strong knowledge of automotive components and parts identification.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience using parts catalogues and inventory management systems.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
