What you will do as the Senior Web Developer (Drupal)
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Web Developer with strong Drupal expertise to contribute to meaningful, user-focused digital services in an Australian Government environment. The role will suit a collaborative and
technically capable developer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving website performance and security, and delivering accessible, reliable digital solutions that support important public outcomes.
- Translate business and technical requirements into practical Drupal solutions, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, infrastructure teams and external service providers.
- Design, develop and maintain secure, accessible and high-performing Drupal websites, web applications, custom modules, themes and templates.
- Investigate, resolve and improve complex web platform issues, including performance, caching, integrations, background processing, security and reliability.
- Contribute to the full development lifecycle by preparing technical documentation, participating in code reviews, testing and quality assurance, supporting release activities and maintaining source control practices.
About You
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Drupal (10, 11).
- Demonstrated strong skills in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (including AJAX and JSON) for web development.
- Experience in developing responsive websites and working in an agile development environment.
- Demonstrated contribution to large-scale projects based on Drupal and the ability to integrate Drupal with third-party services and APIs.
- Familiarity with GIT and proficient in version control processes.
- Knowledge of secure development lifecycle concepts and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills/teamwork skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form with a range of stakeholders and team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Salary: $102,947 - $115,384 (plus 15.4% superannuation).
