Teen on bail trafficks drugs and weapons, is linked with gangland crew
Detectives from Operation Eclipse have charged a man as part of their investigation into the tasking of crimes via encrypted applications targeting Melbourne licensed venues.
Detectives executed three search warrants, at a residential address in Fraser Rise, a business premises in Keilor Downs and a residential address in Port Melbourne. They seized quantities of methylamphetamine, cocaine and ecstasy. A Porsche SUV, alleged counterfeit notes and steroids, a dagger, OC spray, two extendable batons and a number of mobile phones were also seized during the searches.
19 year-old Fraser Rise man Rivin Muthucumurana was arrested and has since been charged with:
- Trafficking a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine
- Attempting to traffic a handgun
- Trafficking methylamphetamine (x8)
- Committing an indictable offence whilst on bail (x8)
Muthucumurana is allegedly linked to Melbourne gangland boss Kaz Hamad's crew, known as "the Commission".
