We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Assistant to contribute to the smooth running of our workshop, ensuring our fleet of premium horse and motorsport transporters are presented to the highest standard and ready for customer collection.
Whether you're starting your career or bringing previous experience, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining vehicles and equipment, and is eager to contribute across a variety of tasks including truck washing, pre-operational inspections, vehicle movements, basic maintenance, and general workshop duties.
We offer flexibility and would consider part-time hours for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity to work around study, family, or other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and detail trucks specialist transport vehicles to a high standard.
- Conduct pre- and post-hire vehicle inspections, reporting any damage, maintenance, or safety concerns.
- Assist the workshop team with basic maintenance tasks and general labouring duties.
- Assist with vehicle pickups and deliveries, ensuring vehicles are presented professionally to customers.
- Move vehicles safely around the workshop and yard as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop, yard, and storage areas.
- Complete paperwork, inspection reports, and vehicle checklists accurately. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, suppliers, and team members
What We're Looking For
- A current driver's licence (truck licence highly regarded but not essential)
- Enjoy working with your hands and contributing to a wide range of operational and maintenance activities.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual tasks. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to workplace safety
