We’re on the hunt for a Communications Officer to join our Strategic Communications department to provide outstanding strategic communications support to stakeholders.
Under The Direction Of The Communications Lead, You’ll Get To Work Across Some Of Council’s Key Services And Programs That Help To Strengthen Community Connection, Participation And Wellbeing, Including
- Arts, culture and economic development
- Health and wellbeing services
- Community development and support for local businesses
- Library services.
About You
We’re looking for a communications all-rounder with a strong customer focus and attention to detail. You thrive on variety, enjoy a fast-faced team environment and working collaboratively to achieve deadlines and support an excellent customer experience.
Our Ideal Candidate
- can write clearly on a range of topics for different channels and customer/audience needs
- can develop communications plans and content with accuracy and creativity
- understands creative processes to brief graphic design, print and multimedia projects
- can monitor campaign success, take learnings and share recommendations for continuous improvement
- can relate to staff within a wide range of disciplines and build effective working relationships
- can respond to priorities, manage their time effectively and meet deadlines.
This role is responsible for producing high quality, engaging content for Council’s communication channels. We work closely and collaboratively with our colleagues including in graphic design, multimedia and digital marketing to achieve this. Together we support internal stakeholders and are responsible for achieving diverse communication objectives, reaching the right people in the right way while managing Council’s reputation and brand.
