Bio
Amy Woodward is a photographic artist currently living and working on Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi Country (Sunshine Coast) Australia.
Intrigued by the quiet magnificence, fragility and fleeting nature of everyday life - and even more so since birthing her first child - Amy approaches her practice with a deep sensitivity and reverence for all stages of life, but pays particular attention to the early motherhood experience and the whirring visual hum of domesticity. Using an honest and intimate storytelling approach, Amy works with a mixture of digital, medium format and 35mm film.

Skin Story
| View on OpenSea
These photographs are a celebration of the human body. I want to honour and elevate the various bodies we as humans inhabit - exploring their porous textures, their tension & tenderness, their stretch & release, as well as the ways in which they can mimic landscapes or inanimate forms. I love observing the way light articulates, sculpts and caresses us.
Over the past few years, I've been collecting some of my favourite pieces; they now rest harmoniously together and are amplified in their interplay of forms. The warmth, the softness, the vulnerability of bare skin - the way that water beads and sand clings, all laid bare in this collection.
