Project Info

ACCIONA is delivering the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant north of Perth, part of a $2.8 billion Water Corporation program to secure Western Australia's drinking water. Working in alliance with Jacobs and Water Corporation, the team will design, build and operate a plant producing 50 billion litres of water a year by 2028, with net-zero emissions built into the design.

About Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer – Electrical, you will drive the safe, on-time and on-budget delivery of electrical engineering works for this landmark project. You'll manage construction methods, schedules and quality across your package of works, apply digital engineering tools to plan and coordinate site activities, and provide technical guidance on electrical design as the project moves from concept through to commissioning. This role offers genuine scope to shape delivery on one of WA's most significant water infrastructure projects.

Key accountabilities for the position will be

  • Lead weekly safety and environmental inspections across site
  • Review and approve construction method statements and workpacks
  • Manage project schedules and critical path activities in P6
  • Oversee construction engineering activities and drive cost control
  • Apply digital engineering tools to plan and coordinate works
  • Drive quality through ITPs, NCRs and timely lot close-out
  • Provide electrical design guidance and technical support to teams

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience delivering major infrastructure or water projects
  • Working knowledge of P6 scheduling and digital engineering tools
  • Sound understanding of ITP, NCR and QA processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
