Working within a small and collaborative team, you'll play an important role in supporting workforce planning, employee engagement, learning and development, wellbeing initiatives, people projects and generalist HR activities. You'll partner with stakeholders across the business to help foster a positive workplace culture aligned with Delta's CARE values.Vales Point Power Station is a major baseload generator within the NSW energy market. By supporting our people and culture initiatives, this role contributes to the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to the community.
What You'll Do
Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting our people strategy. You'll work across a broad range of People & Culture activities providing practical advice and support to leaders and employees while contributing to initiatives that enhance the employee experience to shape our workplace culture.
Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the Chief People Officer with strategic initiatives, projects, reporting and People & Culture priorities.
- Leading employee engagement, recognition and wellbeing programs that strengthen Delta's culture and values.
- Driving People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
- Providing practical HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
- Preparing HR documentation, reports, presentations and people insights to support informed decision-making.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and contributing to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a proactive and relationship-focused HR professional who enjoys working across a broad range of People & Culture activities and making a meaningful impact on the employee experience. Your skills may include:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to take ownership and drive outcomes.
- The ability to balance operational priorities with strategic projects and initiatives.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- A professional and discreet approach to handling sensitive and confidential information.
You'll Ideally Have
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a People & Culture, Human Resources, or HR Advisory role.
- Demonstrated experience providing practical HR advice and support across a range of people-related matters.
- Experience coordinating or delivering employee engagement, wellbeing, culture or people-focused initiatives.
- Well-developed project coordination skills, with the ability to contribute to initiatives from planning through to implementation.
- Strong written communication skills, including the preparation of reports, presentations, correspondence and business documentation.
