Business Review Group (BRG) is seeking an experienced Logistics, Assets & Procurement Coordinator to support a high-performing operational team within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
This role sits within the Technical Security, Safehand and Diplomatic Mail Section and offers the opportunity to contribute to Australia's international security capability by coordinating logistics, procurement, asset management and operational support across DFAT's global network.
This position is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can confidently manage competing priorities while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international logistics and operational deployments.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Maintain asset registers and coordinate regular stocktakes.
- Support contract management, budgeting and financial administration.
- Prepare project and financial documentation for governance purposes.
- Coordinate travel and operational support for technical security teams.
- Manage technical security equipment, maintenance schedules and asset replacement planning.
- Liaise with government agencies, suppliers and industry partners.
- Identify and mitigate procurement, logistics and supply chain risks.
- Review and improve administrative processes and procedures.
About You
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Experience in logistics, procurement, asset management or operational coordination.
- Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and contract administration.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgement and attention to detail.
- Experience managing competing priorities in a secure or operational environment.
Desirable Experience
- Technical security or operational support environments.
- Radiation safety regulated environments.
- Dangerous Goods handling, packing or transportation.
- Government or Defence experience.
