Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a full-time Dean of Admission.

Job Details

  • Location: F&M Campus - Lancaster, PA
  • Classification: Full-time, Exempt
  • Schedule: 40 hours, Monday - Friday. Will require evenings and weekends.
  • Reports to: Vice President of Enrollment Management
  • Department: Admission
  • Approved Salary Range: Approved salary range up to $140,000.00 annually.

Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Dean of Admission is responsible for leading the Office of Admission. This includes managing all aspects of domestic and international first-year and transfer admission recruitment, review, selection and yield in order to help achieve institutional goals. The Dean will work collaboratively with the VP to implement enrollment strategy and will liaise with internal and external constituencies.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership for the Office of Admission, including domestic and international recruitment, visits, and events.
  • Supervise the Director of Recruitment, Director of the Admission Visit Experience & Lombardo Welcome Center Manager, and Director of International Recruitment & Admission.
  • Ensure successful operations of all areas of admission including, but not limited to professional development, staff compliance trainings and creating efficiencies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President for Enrollment and with division and office leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and successfully execute on innovative, data driven strategies for recruitment, selection, and yield that are responsive to college goals for quality, quantity, net tuition revenue, and class composition.
  • Develop creative, data informed strategies to build and maintain existing relationships with secondary schools and programs, school-based counselors, community-based, regional, and national organizations, two-year colleges, and campus partners to strategically expand the College's visibility and recruitment efforts. Ensure the effective implementation of these strategies.
  • Guide the development and expansion of a visit program to build affinity and drive applications and enrollment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within and outside the division on the development of communication and marketing strategies that attract prospective students and families to F&M. Ensure that marketing and recruitment efforts are aligned.
  • Partner effectively with the Athletics Department and coaches in the recruitment of student athletes.
  • Advise in building a culture that prioritizes a sense of belonging for all students.
  • Manage the admission budget.
  • Provide a comprehensive admissions annual report.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years in progressively responsible positions in selective college admission and/or related fields with a record of success.
  • Demonstrated success at managing, leading, and motivating others at a college or university.
  • Knowledge of a liberal arts environment.
  • Knowledge of a recruitment-focused CRM.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
  • Evidence of a commitment to community & belonging.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree.
  • Prior senior leadership experience in admission at a selective public or private Liberal Arts college or university.
  • Knowledge of Technolutions Slate and other educational Enterprise System platform

Additional Information

Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, and verification of credentials. The College will coordinate these verifications.
