Love recruitment, sales and building relationships?

Join yourtown's Employment Services team and help connect young people with meaningful employment opportunities while building strong partnerships with local employers across the Kingston region.

If you're motivated by achieving targets, creating opportunities and making a genuine impact, this is a career where your results change lives.

This is not your typical employment services role.

As an Employment Solutions Partner, you will be the face of our program within the local business community. You'll spend your time building relationships with employers, uncovering workforce opportunities, matching candidates to vacancies and achieving measurable employment outcomes.

You will operate much like a recruiter or business development professional—developing employer pipelines, identifying hiring needs and connecting businesses with work-ready young people.

Success in this role comes from your ability to build trust, create opportunities and consistently achieve results. Every day will be diverse but in essence your day to day will include:

  • Building strong relationships with local employers to uncover current and future workforce needs.
  • Meeting with young people to understand their employment goals, strengths, skills and career aspirations.
  • Developing tailored reverse marketing plans that align with both member goals and employer needs.
  • Reverse marketing suitable candidates to employers by confidently promoting their strengths, potential and transferable skills.
  • Creating employment opportunities through job creation and job carving strategies.
  • Prospecting and engaging local businesses to identify employment opportunities and expand your employer network.
  • Promoting wage subsidies, incentives and employment support services to support employer recruitment needs.
  • Partnering closely with Employment Coaches to prepare young people for sustainable employment outcomes.
  • Managing a pipeline of employer relationships, vacancies, job placements and outcome opportunities.
  • Working towards and achieving KPIs and performance targets in a fast-paced, highly rewarding environment.
  • Securing sustainable employment outcomes that positively change the lives of young people.

what we are looking for

We're looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, generating opportunities and achieving results.

You may come from recruitment, business development, account management, sales, labour hire, employment services or a customer-focused industry where performance and relationship management are key.

You'll stand out if you have:

  • Experience in recruitment, employment services, labour hire, account management, sales or business development.
  • A talent for identifying opportunities and matching people with the right roles.
  • Experience reverse marketing candidates or promoting services to prospective clients and employers.
  • Confidence engaging with decision makers and influencing hiring outcomes.
  • A proactive and target-driven approach, with proven success achieving KPIs and performance goals.
  • The ability to think creatively and develop employment solutions through job creation and job carving strategies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for helping people achieve meaningful employment outcomes.

Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting employers, creating opportunities and celebrating results.
