Workshop Planner

Location: Revesby, NSW Pay Rate: $50 per hour + super Duration: 6-month contract (full-time hours) with potential to go permanent

The Opportunity

A well-established construction machinery manufacturing company in Revesby is seeking a Workshop Planner to join their on-site operations. This is a hands-on planning and coordination role responsible for scheduling machinery through the workshop, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all Australian compliance checks are completed.

You'll play a key part in keeping large and heavy construction machinery moving through the workshop efficiently-balancing planning, procurement, communication, and technical understanding. This is a 6-month temporary role with strong potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate machinery workflow through the workshop
  • Ensure machinery meets relevant Australian standards and compliance requirements
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure timely delivery of services
  • Oversee movement, purchasing, and procurement of parts for heavy machinery
  • Maintain schedules, track progress, and adjust plans as needed
  • Liaise with workshop teams, engineers, and operations staff
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose practical, outside-the-box solutions
  • Use Microsoft Projects and internal systems to manage timelines and tasks

About You

  • Experience in a workshop, automotive, truck, heavy machinery, or construction environment
  • Background in planning or scheduling, ideally with machinery or vehicles
  • Strong technical understanding; mechanical engineering experience desirable
  • Process-driven mindset with strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and coordinate across teams
  • Creative problem solver able to think outside the box
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Projects or similar tools (training provided)

Requirements

  • Relevant trade or engineering exposure (mechanical, automotive, fabrication, or workshop)
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Projects
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • On-site availability in Revesby
