  • Assist with month-end close and preparation of management accounts.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
  • Support payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
  • Prepare BAS, FBT, PRT and other compliance workpapers.
  • Support annual audit and tax compliance processes.
  • Maintain integrity of accounting records and reconciliations.
  • Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
  • Support EPC project accounting including cost tracking, reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with project margin reviews and project performance reporting.
  • Participate in AI, automation and ERP optimisation initiatives.
  • Document, review and redesign finance processes.
  • Support dashboard development and reporting automation projects.
  • Assist with implementation and testing of new systems and controls.
  • Work collaboratively across the business to improve finance processes.

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Working towards CA/CPA qualification.
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
