THE POSITION
As a Business Development Manager, you will step into a strategic growth role focused on expanding the mining and resources sector across Western Australia. This position is vital to driving order intake, converting pipeline opportunities, and securing repeat business with major mining operators, contractors, and OEMs.
Your daily focus will involve:
- Identifying and developing new commercial opportunities across mining clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from early engagement through to tender and award.
- Developing strong, long term relationships with mining asset owners, EPCs, and contractors.
- Leading and supporting comprehensive tender submissions and proposals, collaborating closely with internal estimating and delivery teams.
- Managing sales execution, negotiating contracts, and maintaining accurate CRM pipeline reporting.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a proactive, commercially sharp sales professional with a proven track record of driving revenue in heavy or industrial sectors. You bring an established network across the WA mining landscape and the relationship management skills needed to navigate complex project lifecycles.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in a BDM or sales role within the mining, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
- An established professional network across WA mining operators, EPCs, or major contractors.
- A strong understanding of tendering processes, commercial negotiations, and the broader project lifecycle.
- Experience selling security, electrical, communications, or industrial infrastructure solutions (highly regarded).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal estimating, projects, and operations teams.
