This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate or Senior Accountant looking to build their technical expertise, develop their review skills and become more involved in client relationships. You’ll be supported by an experienced offshore team, allowing you to focus on higher-value work while continuing to grow your career.

About the role

Working closely with the Partner and Manager, you'll play an integral role in delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services while helping to oversee workflow across the team.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Preparing complex BAS and IAS
  • Reviewing work prepared by offshore accountants, including BAS, IAS, income tax returns and year-end accounts
  • Working directly with clients to resolve accounting and taxation matters
  • Delivering tax planning, business advisory and ad hoc accounting and taxation advice to a diverse client base
  • Managing workflow to ensure deadlines and client expectations are achieved

About you

You'll ideally have:

  • Current Australian public practice experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial statements, income tax returns and activity statements
  • Experience reviewing work or mentoring junior team members (or a desire to step into this responsibility)
  • CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service
