The Role – Head of IT

Based from our Brisbane Head Office, we are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead the next chapter of DISSH's technology evolution.

Reporting to the Global COO, this strategic leadership role will own the technology vision for the business, ensuring our systems, infrastructure and digital capabilities enable sustainable growth across domestic and international markets. This opportunity is Brisbane based. We are willing to relocate successful applicants domestically.

Your new day-to-day

• Define and own the strategic IT roadmap, ensuring technology investments align to business priorities and future growth plans.
• Lead major technology initiatives from concept through to delivery, including system implementations, infrastructure upgrades and global market readiness projects.
• Drive innovation and digital transformation opportunities across the business, with a focus on AI adoption and technology enablement.
• Own DISSH's cyber security strategy, ensuring systems, infrastructure and data are secure, compliant and aligned to industry best practice.
• Oversee the ERP ecosystem, including Harmony, ensuring platforms remain scalable, efficient and fit for purpose.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, partners and managed service providers, ensuring performance and commercial outcomes meet expectations.
• Own and manage the IT budget, ensuring investment decisions deliver measurable value to the business.
• Provide strategic leadership to the IT Manager and broader IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Partner with stakeholders across retail, distribution and head office functions to identify opportunities where technology can unlock efficiency and support growth.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively identifying opportunities that strengthen DISSH's competitive advantage.

On your first day we’d expect you to already have:

• Significant experience leading technology strategy within a complex, multi-site retail, ecommerce or consumer-focused business.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale technology projects, system implementations and digital transformation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of cyber security, infrastructure, system architecture and enterprise technology environments.
• A proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders, translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing technology teams.
• A collaborative and people-first leadership style aligned with DISSH values.
