About The Role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Environment & Release Manager is responsible for leading the delivery, stability, and governance of technical environments and release management activities across the Transformation Program. The role combines people leadership, environment management, platform integration, DevOps practices, and software engineering expertise to ensure technology environments are secure, scalable, reliable, and available when needed. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the role is critical to ensuring environments are prepared in advance, operate effectively, and support the successful delivery of program outcomes.
This a 12-month fixed term opportunity.

In This Role You Will
- Lead the management and readiness of all non-production environments, ensuring they are secure, stable, available, and aligned with program and release schedules.
- Oversee environment governance, provisioning, configuration, test data management, capacity planning, and the resolution of environment-related issues.
- Own the end-to-end release management process, including release planning, deployment coordination, readiness assessments, governance, and post-release reviews.
- Develop and manage release schedules, dependencies, risks, communications, and stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams, platforms, and vendors.
- Champion DevOps and CI/CD practices, driving automation, operational efficiency, deployment reliability, and continuous improvement across the program.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, technology vendors, implementation partners, and service providers to support successful environment and release outcomes.
- Provide leadership, governance, and oversight of environment and release activities across the Transformation Program, supporting the delivery of complex enterprise platforms including Dynamics 365, Finance & Operations, Azure Integration Services, CRM, CMS, SaaS applications, and related systems.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading environment and release management across complex enterprise environments, including cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and legacy systems.
- Strong technical expertise across .NET, Azure, Dynamics 365/CRM, Finance & Operations, and legacy infrastructure, supported by a hands-on software engineering or solution architecture background.
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams within Agile and DevOps environments, with deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and environment management.
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation programs involving multiple concurrent projects, integrations, vendors, and stakeholders within complex or regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences and lead with a coaching and capability-building mindset.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and modern technology practices, including Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, application monitoring, and digital transformation or legacy modernisation initiatives.
